August 3, 2011

This morning it was 68 degrees in our flat. It is winter here and over-cast. Really quite dreary. We got ready, brushed up on our presentations and headed for the Mission Office. The members rode to motatu’s/buses down from the hills. Some of them had to leave at 4 in the morning. There were about 48 people who came. President Broadbent spoke and then we divided up into departments. I had the young Women J and Bruce had Sunday School and Aaronic Priesthood including the Duty to God program. There were about 5-6 areas. It went well. It’s hard to know if they understand you because they speak 3 languages. After we had a lunch that was prepared by Consalota (who cleans for us) and three other ladies. Rice, chicken parts???, stew, a torilla like bread, cabbage salad. Fruit salad and pop in bottles (warm). I was amazed at how they loaded their plates and came back for more. We are going for a walk to the city center now for some exercise and to get some milk.
